Structural urethane foam reinforced with continuous thread glass MAT, commonly known as S-RIM, is a real composite material formed by a fiberglass matrix that is impregnated with urethane foam.
The resulting material has got excellent physical-mechanical characteristics, combined with good lightness.
It has excellent dimensional stability and gives good stiffness even to low thickness components (3-4mm).
If you need even greater stiffness, by increasing the thicknesse to 6-8mm, a very resistant sandwich structure can be created with this material.
